Ann Maria's life has been devoted to helping people in their personal healing and developing their spirituality. Since the foundation of the Chrysalis Retreat Centre in Ireland in 1989, Ann Maria has been involved in the Human Potential Movement working in holistic healing and creative arts. Over the past 20 years she has worked as a humanistic psychotherapist, healer, body worker, group facilitator, spiritual companion,meditation teacher and retreat guide. She is trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and teaches 8 week MBSR courses in Dublin.(www.mindfuliving.ie)
In recent years she has led groups to Turkey for spiritual based holidays and to Thailand for meditation retreats . She is a spiritual seeker and world traveller and has visited many ancient sacred sites around the world.Her respect for all faiths& beliefs,her understanding of the power of healing,prayer & positive intention make her the ideal guide for healing or Spiritual based journeys.
Her spiritual awakening at the Casa de Dom Inacio has inspired her to become a guide bringing people to visit John of God through Sacred Journeys.She was made a daughter of the Casa in 2007, and was given permission by the entities to accompany people as a guide.Ann Maria leads small personally guided groups to Abadiania. She sees her role as creating a safe, intimate and nurturing space to support people in their healing and deepen their spiritual experience whilst in Brazil. As a certified & registered guide ,Ann Maria adheres to the protocols and Code of Ethics by the Friends of the Casa www.friendsofthecasa.info.
